Strike Axe Coffee is a small-town coffee shop rooted in the history and cultural legacy of Rosebud, Missouri. Drawing inspiration from the founder’s Osage ancestry as a direct descendant of Chief Strike Axe along with the town’s enduring sense of resilience in an ever-evolving world, the goal was to create an identity that felt honest, grounded, and quietly powerful. The brand needed to balance heritage with modern clarity, honoring the past without feeling stuck in it, and translating those values into a coffee experience that feels quality-driven and welcoming to locals and tourists alike.

We developed a visual identity built around a bold, custom wordmark, heritage-inspired typography, and a rich, coffee-driven color palette. Handcrafted details, symbolic illustrations, and subtle references to Osage iconography bring depth and meaning to the system without overpowering it. From the logo suite and supporting graphics to packaging, signage, and branded touchpoints, the Strike Axe identity is designed to feel sturdy, timeless, and intentional, built to age well and remain deeply connected to the place it represents.
